Derek Webb & Sandra McCracken Concert
The Journey will host Derek Webb & Sandra McCracken live in concert to benefit Refuge of Nations.
The Luminary | Center for the Arts has opened its doors after several months of renovating the upstairs of the Tower Grove Convent. The Luminary is in partnership with the Journey Artist Community.
The Luminary is a not-for-profit studio space that seeks to provide artists both space and materials to work with at no cost to the artist. Instead, artists sign up for charitable projects in order to "pay" for the use of the space. Projects will include: murals for St. Louis City Public Schools, teaching classes for neighborhood children, as well as upkeep and beautification of the space. Help us keep the space open and free for use by donating working materials. Click on the link to view items needed (they are probably not what you think!). Email us at if you would like to find out about more ways to help out.
Open Studio
The Luminary's primary identity is as a free studio for artists in which to come work. We have some materials to work with, but contact us for more details regarding what you would need to provide for yourself. We are open on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, so contact us for more information on specific times and available space .
The Luminary Classes
Over the next few months, we will continue to add regular events, including classes, open studio times, and a musician's forum called "Feedback Loop," as well as continuing our Theses Book Club. Contact either or for information on our events or other ways to get involved.
