Child Dedication
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
the fruit of the womb a reward.
Like Arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the children of one's youth.
Blessed is the man
who fills his quiver with them.
Psalm 127:3-5
Children are a gift from God. They are also one of life's greatest challenges! The Journey wants to celebrate your children with you. We also want to come along side you to equip you for the challenges ahead. Our child dedicaiton ceremony will help us begin doing both.
If you have a child you wish to dedicate, then please follow this dedication process. Child dedications are done twice a year, one in the spring and one in the fall. Please see the schedule below for dedications in 2008.

These dedications will take place at the site the family attends (the TG site will only have one at the 11:15 service). In order to schedule a child dedication, one parent must attend the mandatory child dedication orientation noted on the schecule above. Childcare is available for the orientations by RSVP only (email to request childcare), and is provided to encourage both parents to be involved in the orientation.
This class will offer instruction on the purpose of child dedication at The Journey and act as an introduction to The Journey's Milestones ministry to families. If you have questions, please contact Steve Mizel at .
Digital pictures are due of the child(ren) with family for slide show during dedication. This material should be forwarded to Brian Turnbull at one month in advance of the dedication to make a slide.
