The primary way to get connected at The Journey is through Community Groups. We believe that all people need to be known, to be understood, and to have meaning and purpose. Each week, people gather in groups all around the city to address these needs and more. In these "community groups", our people find lasting friendships, "do life" together, care for each other, work to understand each other and reach out together to care for many less fortunate people in our city. Here people grow in their knowledge of God and move forward in their spiritual journey, develop leadership skills, and find meaning and purpose that is rewarding both to the served and the serving.
Connect Groups are a welcoming community for people who are new to The Journey. They gather in a home once a week for the purpose of meeting new people, finding out more about The Journey, discussing the previous weeks’ sermon, and having fun and food together.
We strongly encourage people to connect at The Journey through serving. We believe that people are truly fulfilled when they use their gifts and talents for a cause greater than themselves, and our people enjoy being part of a team that is serving together. There are hundreds of people working behind the scenes to make our church what it is.
