Jordan Gwyther

Jordan Gwyther 2 - Jordan GwytherResponsibilities
I will be serving at our West County campus by developing and leading Journey Students, our ministry for middle school and high school students. My mentor is Steve Mizel.

Family
My parents, Bob and Janet raised my two brothers and I in western Washington. My father provided us with the very best and has always been an inspiration to me. He's my hero. My mother loved and cared for us through all our struggles. I wouldn't be here if not for her. Josh, 19, is good at anything he puts his mind too, loves baseball and is an excellent marksman. Waylon, 13, loves music and if asked will tell you he's going to be lead singer in a band bigger than Green Day.

What The Journey Has Meant To Me
The Journey has been a place of learning, growth, opportunity and rest. In the short time I have been here I have been challenged and greatly encouraged by the changes and work that is being done in the hearts of the people in the St. Louis Metro area by Jesus.

What I Enjoy
Spending time with my wife Lauren. We like to discover new places (restaurants, coffee shops, etc.) and plan for our future together. I enjoy anything athletic, love to hate running, lifting and the occasional game of pick-up football or soccer. When I find time I love to read and watch a good movie.

Where I Grew Up and What I Did As A Kid
I grew up in a Stanwood, Washington. It's about thirty minutes to an hour and a half north of Seattle, depending on the traffic. As a kid I enjoyed doing just about anything that included being outside, getting dirty and it had to be dangerous and most likely got me in trouble. As I grew older, I shifted my focus to being an athlete. Football, wrestling, and soccer were the sports I spent my time playing.

Quote
"What I had I gave, what I kept was lost forever."
