Music

The worship ministry at The Journey is made up of several bands that play in regular rotation at Sunday services. We believe that God created music as a powerful expression of our worship of him, and we strive to structure the musical parts of our service so that he, not the music, is central.

At the same time, we believe in striving for musical excellence and in creating fresh material for the kingdom of God. Our bands do this by writing new songs and arranging old hymns, which is a way to contextualize ancient truths about God and his relationship with his people. Our mp3 selections come mostly from live service mixes and rehearsals, and we continually add new songs from our worship bands.
