Background

  • Education
I grew up in St. Louis Public Schools and proudly graduated from Ritenour High School. I then spent time at Taylor University in Fort Wayne, Indiana. But graduated with a degree in Bible and Christian Education with an emphasis on Discipleship from St. Louis Christian College.
  • Family
I am from a very large family, who are all mostly in the St. Louis area. My father was one of 10 and my mother is one of 9. We had so many cousins that my father and uncle coached the boys baseball team! And there is still a softball team of cousins today! I am one of four, the 3rd to be exact, and therefore your typical middle child. Earlier this year my husband have been married for four year and have a little girl named Evelynne Elizabeth. Needless to say, family is VERY important to us.

Questions

  • What is your favorite bible verse?
"Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12
  • What is following Jesus like these days?
Following Jesus means serving. While it is true that my family goes through times where we are the ones needing service, Joe and I spend our time truly devoted to helping and reaching those around us. We love opening our home, our possessions, and ourselves to others who need it.
  • How long have you been at The Journey?
We have been at The Journey for 3 years this July.
  • What ministry are you involved in?
Beside being the Hanley Road Campus Administrator, I also help with Connection Point, and we are Community Group Leaders.
  • What is hard and/or good about serving at The Journey?
There is ALWAYS somewhere to serve! But you have to be the one to put yourself out there and don't be afraid to get your hands dirty.

Favorites

  • My favorite restaurants: Cafe Ventana is one of my favorites because they serve beignets. But I could eat Lion's Choice pretty much every other day if I had the money.
