What The Journey Has Meant To You
The Journey has meant more to me (and my family) than I can say - it has been a place of healing and renewed vision for what the church is and what it can accomplish. It has renewed my hope that authentic community, mission, and growth can exist.

Quote Or Advice
"Even the mercy of the Lord burns." -Flannery O'Connor

"Our God is a consuming fire." -Hebrews 12:29

Favorite Reads Or Films
My favorite book of all time is Till We Have Faces by C.S. Lewis. I love almost everything by Lewis (except Pilgrim's Regress - painful!). I also have enjoyed reading Flannery O’Connor, Kurt Vonnegut, Jon Krakauer, J.R.R. Tolkien, William Shakespeare, John Steinbeck, William Faulkner, John Piper, Donald Miller, Larry McMurtry, Franz Kafka, Jon Zens, Tim Keller, and so many more I can't list them all.

I love Clint Eastwood, especially the spaghetti westerns and Unforgiven. Others that I really enjoyed include Training Day, Tombstone, Princess Bride, Hunt for Red October, Kung-Fu Hustle, Remains of the Day, The Incredibles, and Crash.

What You Enjoy
Spending time with Lauren and my kids doing whatever, the west coast and the Pacific Ocean, skateboarding, skiing, going fast, reading, writing, teaching, eating good food, drinking good drink, fishing, hanging with friends, driving my Corvair, dreaming, and taking risks

Where You Grew Up And What You Did As A Kid
I grew up in California and lived all over the state. My favorite parts are the far north (rugged coast and redwood forests of Mendocino County) and the far south (San Diego, where my mom and bro currently live). Hmmm, what did I do as a kid? Well, I followed my big brother around, got into a lot of trouble, skateboarded, and longed for the day when I would come to find my real life in Christ (though I didn't know He was what I needed at the time).

Hope For The Journey
I hope The Journey can continue to grow in the mission of the gospel - increasing in our love for God, one another, and the community around us.
