Values

Truth

God is true. He has revealed himself in two special and unique ways: in Jesus who came and died and rose again in the flesh, and in his written Word, the Bible. Therefore, we will seek to know, live and proclaim truth out of our love for God. Just as Jesus came into a specific context at a specific time, we also realize that our fellowship exists in a specific context at a specific time. Therefore, we will seek to proclaim truth in the context of the cultures in which we are situated.

Worship

God is self-sufficient apart from this world. He is awesome and mysterious. Therefore, we will worship him with all that we are both privately and corporately, testifying that God, though unseen, is real.

Community

God is eternal community. God exists in a perfect fellowship of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God has created men and women to also live in community with one another. Therefore, we will sacrificially serve one another in authentic community. A by-product of authentic community, according to Scripture, is its inherent attraction to unbelievers. As Jesus said, "By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you demonstrate love for one another."

Beauty

God is beautiful. His creation reflects his beauty. Men and women are created in the image of God and are endowed with gifts and talents that can reflect God's beauty. Therefore, we will value individuals and their works of beauty through the arts, using spiritual gifts and talents.

Mission

God is a sending Father. He desires to send the church back into the world in order to transform the culture. We will not be a "holy huddle." We will be a community that seeks to be salt and light in the world.
